Elstead Riding Club enters teams for most British Riding Clubs National. We also participate in ‘friendly’ (not a qualifier) Area 11 team dressage events and other team events such as the riding clubs’ SJ competition at Hickstead. There are a wide range of team competitions, some aimed at more novice riders and others at more experienced riders. ERC teams are great fun and while its the taking part which is great, as a bonus we have been fortunate in doing well over the years at the various championships, with lots of our members coming home with rosettes as well as a trophy or two. For further information about what is involved see teams-information-January-2024 We welcome new team members so if you are interested in participating in teams we would love to hear from you. If you have any questions about being in a team, please contact

BRC Body Protector Guidelines
A body protector is obligatory in all cross-country competitions and is strongly recommended in show jumping competitions. A BETA Level 3 displaying a Blue 2018 Label must be worn in competitions where a body protector is obligatory. From 1 Jan 2024, the BETA 2009 Purple Label will no longer be accepted. The ONLY exception to this requirement is that the Exo Body Cages will continue to be accepted, provided they have a BETA Level 3 Purple 2000 Label.

BRC Hat Tagging Guide for Competitors – All hats must have a PINK tag (the same standards apply for BRC, PC & BE so any of these organisations tags will be accepted)
